Welcome from New Orleans. @cmom has given you some really great information. I hate to tell you, but your hen isn't coming to the door for food, she wants you to come out and play with her. I would get her 2 more hens as playmates. IMHO 3 chickens is the ideal number. Try to find hens that seem to be about the same age and get to work as soon as you can on a safe place for them to live. I am glad you joined us.

Remember, your chicken coop doesn't have to be the fanciest coop. Your chickens are more concerned that their coop is comfortable (to them) and safe, than they are how fancy it is.
