I have my first set of 12 chickens and there about 8 weeks now and I can't get them roost of there pole I made them, they get on it all day long but when it comes night they all huddled up in a corner of the coop is this a big problem? Is this also going to be a big problem when they start to lay if they dont use the nesting boxes? Any help will be appreciated thanks!

No it's no problem they will probably start to sleep in the roost when they get alittle older there just trying to keep warm and it doesn't hurt anything sometimes they will try to hide them in odd places if there place in the coop to go. Mine personally don't have nesting boxes they free range and lay there eggs where they please and hatch them if they want to haha

Your birds are just babies yet, they're more comfortable sleeping huddled together. Since they use the roost as a toy during the day, they'll easily get the idea as they mature. They usually roost by the time they start laying, so no worries there.
