We really are novice chicken people. I have Dominiquers and a couple of Brahmas I like them all. They lay great eggs, and are our pets more or less.
I read up on how to care for them, antibiotics, wormers, etc. I clean the coop quite regularly, either once a week or every two weeks. No dirty chickens for us. The are well adjusted and healthy, except one hen. She looks like she lost her eye, and now there is a red lump around the top of her eye. It doesn't seem to bother her, and she eats fine. But it bugs me and wish I knew what it was. I did give her a small shot of penicillin 1 week ago,and it seemed to help. I think I will give her another one, it maybe she needs a second. If you all know what it could be, please give me a hint how to care for it. Thanks
