Why would you want to use baking soda in feed and water? It's very high in sodium. What ever it is you are trying to control, there must be other methods than baking soda.

Where did you read about this? I would not do this as a matter of course. Why are you looking to supplement the chickens normal feed? Are you feeding a complete feed that offers 18-20% protein?

Basically we call then layer in my country but they are from ISA brown they only layer table eggs. I am also looking forward to buy ISA brown EGGS for hatching. So i can then raise then to get layer and Cockrell for table eggs

Personally, I would not add baking soda to either water or feed. If you are looking to correct something missing in their diet, there is likely something else you can try that wouldn't be quite so high in sodium.

Hiya, and welcome to BYC!! We're glad you're here. Please research here what it is you are trying to supplement for them as I would never give baking soda to my chickens and it sure sounds like my friends agree.
