Hi everyone, I'm Esther and am relearning how to grow a garden and raise chickens and rabbits. I have some depression issues and had just moved to the countryside after a breakup. I'm living with a good friend and am so glad to be on a small farm so we can actually grow our own food. My girls are actually the ones who wanted to start raising rabbits. While we were discussing it we all decided we wanted to plant a garden, really late in the season, and raise chickens as well. It has been a lot of fun and hard work so far and has really helped to level out my moods. We know have the 4 cats we'd had before all this started ( 1 female Siamese, 1 black male, 1 male gray tabby, and 1 female Siamese/Calico mix), a Jack Russel dog, a black butterfly lop bunny, a black polish bunny, 2 Florida brown rabbits, an albino male bunny, 4 Plymouth rock pullets, 1 Easter Egg pullet (I think), 4 Buff Orpington pullets and a Buff Orpington roo chick, 1 mixed roo, 1 white chicken, 2 Australorps, and a Plymouth Rock Hen. We're planning on getting a few more bunnies for breeding a eventually want to have several flocks of chickens so the only mixed chickens will be food chickens. I'm learning sooo much from this forum and it's giving me some really neat ideas for when we build our long coop.
Esther
