New chicken- runny poop

I have new chicks about 6 weeks old and 12 weeks old. They seem to have diarrhea and the smell is pungent. Like almost diarrhea smell of a dog.

They are new and I don’t know their previous set up. They came from breeder/hatchery place. Could it be just stress as they did travel 1hr and new place, new food, new environment?
How long should I be worried? what can I do as treatments/preventative?

I have 4 6weeks old I originally have and I’m worried they would get it.

They are in a different metal dog crates but same shed.

Any input is appreciated.

I would worry this looks like coccidiosis... TBH I also don't know what to tell you to do ... they can get it from traveling. Basically they get used to the local strain (and it's just on everything) and they eventually will get used to your strain (so long as the infection doesn't get too bad first).

Personally I would say get some amprolium "medicated chick food", it helps keep the infection numbers under control, though someone more educasted I hope will help you more... cause IDK how long that will take to take effect, and IDK if it will help with a current infection...

It won't hurt to treat for Coccidiosis. I would get some Corid (Amprolium) and treat them.
Liquid Corid dose is 2tsp or Powdered Corid Dose is 1 1/2tsp per gallon of water given for 5-7 days as the only source of drinking water.
Do not add any extra vitamins/electrolytes that contain B1(Thiamine) to food or water during the course of treatment.

Also, I do have 4 chicks that is a day olds from same place- they are in a different place tho. But my other 4 6weeks old are in the same shed,but in a different metal dog crates.. Should I just treat them all? I’m worried they will all have it.

I also would treat with Corid (looks like mucous is present).

"Medicated" feed will not treat infection, instead only reduce the risk of serious infection.

For birds that young, if possible, I'd feed an 18-22% chick starter. Make sure they do have Grit (Crushed Granite) available free choice.

You can use regular/unmedicated chick starter.

Yes, the powdered Corid is fine. Dosing is posted below.
