new chicken smell

Do flocks of chickens smell different from one another? Our four new hens smell distinctly different than our existing flock of seven. The new chickens came home with us today and are in quarantine. They have been eating a different brand of food and were on hay bedding. Is this similar to not being able to smell your own house?

Never really noticed chickens smelling different then others. They all smell like chicken to me.

Definitely possible with different feed and environment they would smell different.

Thank you, Mahlzeit & aart! Combining your replies, I interpret tastes like chicken but depends on seasoning.

P.S.- They're pets and I won't be eating them.
