Hey everyone. Name is Freeze and I am a new chicken dad. I have 6 total; 4 hens (Phyliss smooth Polish; Lillian frizy Polish; Abigail Golden Orpington; Violet Lavender Orpington; Ernest a Choc Orpington Roo & Zeke Polish Roo) little over a month and have lost a Polish girl named Lemon (should really have thought about name before) she died of cocci before i realized she was to sick to save....i rehomed Ernest cause he was injured come to find out he has septic arthritis in his left hock joint; on antibiotics and pain meds hopefully this will clear infection but he will limp for the rest of his days. I am tring to learn as fast as possible all the ends and outs of chicken keeping....Thought I was prepared before i got them but boy was I wrong. So much can go wrong so quickly....Has anyone dealth with septic arthritis??? Any advice? Thanks
