Hi everyone!!! We are new to the wonderful chicken world. After a couple years of talking the hubby into getting our chickens he finally said YES 
We currently have 15 chicks (9-5 weeks old, 2-3 weeks old and 4- 2 weeks old). We have Rhode Island Reds, Golden Comets, ISA Browns, Barred Rock, Blue Laced Gold Wyandottes, Easter Eggers, Ameraucana, Lavender Orpington, Midnight Majesty Maran. Needless to say I am chasing the Egg Rainbow. So far in our journey raising these chicks have been so rewarding. I lost my mom due to a tragic accident Dec 2023 she was 61. She had chickens for over 11 years, the joy she had on her face when she would go feed them made me so happy. I now understand the joy she felt. We have only had them for 5 weeks but it has helped with my grieving being able to tend to them everyday and seeing them excited to see us. We have 7 1/2 acres with two Doodles and a outdoor mousing cat. We love to be outside and go camping.
