1 week ago I acquired 10 new chickens to the coop / I have divided the coop - my orignal 5 chickens have been able to still get out and free range.. So the coop as been divided by fence for a week now so they can see each other --- now what is my next step?

It may take a bit longer but sometimes that is long enough. I would take the fence down and just see how they react, A little pecking is to be expected but if there is a persistent attack. Separate them again for a while.

You may want to leave it divided for a bit longer, but after that, you just take out the fence and let them be together. Make sure to watch closely for any injuries, as there will be a bit of a pecking order.

Should I let them all free range now - do you think the new ones will stick around now -- they have been also in their outdoor coop
