MY WIFE AND I ARE EXPANDING OUR FLOCK. I HAVE 7 HENS NOW ON ONE SIDE OF OUR HEN HOUSE. WE ARE ADDING 2 ROOS AND 2 HENS IN TWO SEPERATE AREAS. I AM CONCERNED THOUGH MY HENS ARE ACROSS THE BUILDING ABOUT 7 FEET FROM THE NEW FAMILY MEMBERS. I AM BUYING THEM FROM AN INDIVIDUAL, DOES ANYONE KNOW OF ANY PRECAUTIONS I NEED TO TAKE?

Sounds like you have it under controll....keep them seperate for at least 30 days. Watch the newbies...for diseases. So the new ones can see the older ones? This is good...they can chat through the fence, and not hurt one another. Are they about the same age/size? This will help when integrateing them later on. Good luck...and welcome!
