new chickens

Hi everyone! I am brand new to backyard chicken keeping so I have a ? We got 4 laying hens 2 days ago, told they are good layers. So far no eggs! does it take them time to acclimate to a new home? should we just give them time or should we think we have a problem? I know we have 1 RIR but not sure about the others. two lay white eggs and two lay brown. Thanks for your help!

Your hens are stressed out from the move to new surroundings. Give them time to settle in and get used to all the newness. You might get a surprise egg but I would think it would be at least a week or so...patience!!
