New chickies! (PICS)

I swear, I only went into the local feed store to ask when they would be getting chicks, really! Then I noticed the HUGE sign that said 'CHICKS HERE NOW!".
I think my DH is about to kill me, especially since he DID NOT want them in the house, but I think even with the heat light, it would be too cold out in the outdoor shed...so in the laundry room they are.
We got a Black Australorp, a Buff Orpington, and a Barred Rock. They had them all separated in a back room in secured cages, so people can't go in and mix them up, and these were all sold as pullets, so I sure hope so!

I am impressed! You got just 3? I don't think I have ever walked away from a bin of chickies without taking at least

5 (its a sickness i know) sooooo I'm not really allowed around the feed store during chick days by myself...

Wow. Just three. I, too, am impressed. I have come away from a feed store during chick season with only two, but that was after I already had some in the brooder. I would find a breed I wanted, but you know you cannot buy just ONE chick, so I'd find another breed to go with it.

But those are exactly the breeds of chicks I got when I started, plus another couple breeds.

so lucky!! our feed stores still have 2-4 weeks before we get them in. Looking for a RIR since our only 1 died...received ours today. Congrats for your babies.
