Hello! My mother and I decided to order some chicks from cackle hatchery , when we purchased we thought we were getting day old chicks but the polish breeds we got are massive and it's only been 2 and a half weeks about two times bigger than the silkies we got they already have most of their feathers especially the wings (is this normal?)
We have 24 chickens in total ( bit nervous that it may be more than we can handle but I am hoping that our previous experience raising exotic parrots will give us some advantage !
So my main questions
1. Is it possible our polish were older than day old chicks and that's why they are so big already
2. One of our silkies has a prolapsed rectum (I know there's another term but I can spell rectum lol) I continually remove the poop that gets stuck and put the prolapse back in, but it's a daily occurrence and he/she almost died but now eats and drinks normally again since I have been manually helping her/him poop and he/she seems to be ok except when struggling to poo ( is this ok , will he/she survive ? )
3. was it a mistake to get multiple colors of the polish ? We have five white crested black polish , five white polish and four golden laced polish ( and I do not yet know about how many roosters ) we have two different silkie breeds blue and buff ( again not sure on roosters ) but how do we deal if we didn't get roosters? Or only one rooster in the polish etc ... What is the standard ? Will chickens lay without a rooster ?

In our flock, we have no pecking order!
