I have a ten week old lab puppy and about to have some new chicks. How do I introduce him to the new chicks without wanting to eat them? He will be a outside dog and I want to free range the chicks when they grow up

Through a cage. Let him smell them. The fact that they should grow faster then him will help. A lab is a hunting dog, so you may never get him trained, but it has been done. Let him smell them and know them until they get full grown, once full grown allow him to be around them under strict supervision. If he is uninterested, great. Do not let him play with them.

I've got a chocolate lab and I have my chick's in large clear plastic tub. My lab loves to sit and watch them through the plastic. In the case of my dog,the more time she spends around the birds, the less excited she is about them. I think once your pups around them more and they grow, they will get along fine.
