New chicks, bloody poo

It's usually caused from wet and damp conditions. Either their bedding or food was wet and caused the cocci. Cocci is everywhere, it's hard to pinpoint the source. It's devastating to the flock if not treated in time, that's why I keep medicine on hand. I bring in sand from outside for their grit and I never had a problem. I keep my coop and brooder clean and make sure the water does not spill.
