My small flock of hen's have been exposed to Marek's due to an immoral breeder I used. I had just one hen die last summer (which is how i discovered the breeder's incompetance)but that is already too many. I have nine day olds due to arrive the second week of May. The hatchery does not do vaccines on bantams, which 8 out of the nine are. I read that they don't because there is too much of a risk for injury. I know I can order the vaccine but if the hatchery is nervous to do it then what am I supposed to be able to do?! Perhaps I shouldn't have ordered more but we lost my daughters' favorite full grown " babies" to a predator in August.
I have read that it is best to give them the vaccine at day one but that it can be done when they are a little older. Should I order some and try that? They will not be introduced to the rest of the flock until they are ten weeks old or so.

I would appreciate any feedback or advice please.

Thank you so much in advance!
