Last weekend I recently bought 5 chicks 2 of which are 2 weeks older and the other 3 were a few days old.. How do I get them to like me?? I try to pick each of them up every day and try to get them used to me. I play music for them when I’m holding them. But they don’t seem to take to me. They all seem like they want to stick with eachother and not leave eachother.. thank you for the help

They are just chicks. give them some time, and you will see that they will like you more.
The chicks are just hanging together for comfort, and security.
The music is not a factor for the chicks to like you. The music is also not a bad thing, providing it is not of a frightening beat.
Start by feeding them out of your hand. Chickens learn fast where food is present. You can play gentle music then. Chickens will learn to associate that gentle music,to,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,TREATS ARE COMING.:thumbsup
When they grow bigger, they will be jumping into your lap, begging for treats.

WISHING YOU BEST,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and :welcome

Thank you! I appreciate your words. Since my chicks are different ages (2 are a couple weeks older) and 3 are like a week n a half now) is it okay for me to start giving them all treats? Or should I just give the older ones treats?? All they’ve had was their chicken starter food I havent given then anything else yet

Tiny amounts of treats should be fine for both age groups (just keep in mind how tiny their tummies are, and keep treats sparse and small). Make sure they have access to grit in order to break down the treats.

My avian vet says, no other food than chick crumbs until 6 weeks old. The crumbs contain medication which will help the chicks to fight off infections. Mum is happy to eat these as well. Just think of human babies. They cannot digest anything except milk for the first 3 months. As for them 'liking you', chicks imprint within 3 days, so, after that, you are not their mother. Unless you are super-warm they will get cold when picked up, and want to go back into the brooder. Don't worry, this is normal.

Oh that makes sense! I guess i’m so eager for them to like me.. i need to practice patience! Thank you for the wise words of advice! I will continue to wait! Hopefully they like me someday!

Are you in the US? Medicated feed in the US generally contains amprolium, which only counters coccidiosis which is a parasite and not an infection. Not all chick feed is medicated either, I don't use it myself.

If you want to try giving them treats now, you can give them some boiled egg chopped into small pieces so they can pick it out of your hand. That will NOT HURT THEM!!!,,, and no grit is needed for it.
I know you are EXCITED with your new pets:love:hugs
