Called McMurray Friday to see when they thought the chicks would hatch out. They said Saturday. My local post office said not to expect them until Monday so, I drove to Virginia with my DH to pick up a motorcycle. We ended up getting back much earlier Sunday than we thought so I checked my messages and there was two calls from the big hub post office telling me the chicks are there and to get them today or wait till tomorrow to go to my local office. NOW NOW!! Drove right over, staff were wonderful, checked the box. All looked good except for 1 little black silkie. Came right home to a warm brooder, did the dip and sip, and watched. Well, the little black one passed a few hours later
but the other 27 are great. Eating, drinking. So, in all they were fine to deal with. Added 3 extra "peanuts" and a hot pack.
