New chicks- got some problem?

1st time hatcher here, got 18 chicks, so 2 of them had something hanging on their back end, a little bloody & about 1/2 in long, it seemed to dry up but still there after 2 days now, what is this?
also at 2 days old I am seeing 2 with closed eyes, pasty maybe?, what is best to do about this?
Oh ya & 1 of the last did come out upside down, I read about that it being deformed and it is., its leg sticks straight out, how bad will this effect it in its life? or what do I do with it? Any suggestions or comments would be great.
I have been on this wonderful site reading so much since last yr at this time when I got my 1st group of 6, & Wow so much to learn. Luv it tho. I'm addicted. LoL

I think Im gonna try a warm compress on the eyes, hope that helps.

Ok if your chick has something hanging from its butt( I know this is really wierd) this is known as "pasty butt". This is kinda common and all you have to do is ease it out with warm water and put some Vaseline or vegetable oil on that area. If it's bloody, that could be a sign of problems with the diet or a disease. If it persists, you may want to find out what's wrong and take it to a vet.

Do not ever pull anything from a chicks butt! Please don't.
If it's under their vent it could be what's left of their yolk. Leave this alone and let it fall off.
If it's covering their vent use a cloth and warm water. Soak the cloth and softly wipe until the poop comes off. it'll take maybe 2 whole minutes is all.

Your chicken with the leg backwards is called a spay leg. If you tether the ankles together from as young as possible and keep them bound for at least 4 weeks it will correct it self, my wife has a silliest with the same problem, we didn't keep them bound long enough and it went back out of socket. And no this will not affect them to much, but can't be put with other birds, eventually they will peck it to death. Ours is called peep. So ugly she's cute,goodluck with the hatching

I would say just keep an eye on the baby with the messed up leg. A couple weeks back I had a clutch of eggs in the incubator and only one had hatched within the week of its hatch date. The day we finally gave up on the other eggs one had pipped but never hatched. I woke up the morning we had unplugged the incubator to a chick peepi g loudly. I guess humidity got real low and it dried to the shell. I helped him out but one leg was curled and wouldn't extend and the other was always extended. I kept him away from the other chicks in the brooder and watched him. He eventually could stand and walk, with a limp of course, but after giving him exercise and attention he actually is much better now. He limped for about a week. But he's a good strong one now. He actually butts heads with the others.
He was my favorite til I spent more one on one time with the others as well and I always babied him(his name is Lawrence BTW) until the flock dog piled a chick I had to watch forever. And I think it has a broken wing. I thought it was dead but some tender lover and care goes a long way. S/He(Stomper) is actually back with the other chicks, and has come a long way. Just be patient and prepare some time andaybe a separate container if you don't trust the other chicks

Also that bloody stuff... Could be... Think of it as an umbilical cord. Maybe get a damp rag and wipe at the area gently if you ate very concerned. But yeah, don't pull it.
