New Chicks Have Arrived!! Yellow is the extra?

Ok I fully know I’m crazy but I’m not used to pea combs…do these look a little too pink for 7 weeks?! I know to wait till 10-14 weeks for saddle feathers but these pretty pink combs have me wondering if a couple cockerels slipped in with the pullets! I can get better pics when I get home if needed!

Can I see an updated full view of her? She looks like she has female-specific coloring.

Both definitely pullets! They both have female coloring. The breast on Abe is a nice light brown coloring with no black. Pepper is a beautiful consistent coloring, not splotchy like a cockerel would be.

You're safe! They're just maturing.

Yay thank you! I love Abe so much even if she really doesn’t like me lol. She has such a fluffy neck and the best beard. Check out this pic from the other night

Aw dang! I was just chalking that up to juvenile feathers like my brown leghorns had at that age I did a side by side of 6 weeks to 13 weeks.
I had my husband hold Abe so I could get a better pic. Depending on what you think from these pics, I’ll end up putting a new post in the Gender thread!

My gut still says pullet but mixes can be tough!
