Hey everyone I just got some new chicks... Amelia was sold as Welsummer, But looks like an EE... Anyone else agree?

We went and picked up 4 of our new chicks at 7 P.M. They were all born March 26.

This is Amelia

This is Kelly

And these are unamed untill we can tell them apart...

Chicken 1

Chicken 2

I got a "Welsummer" last summer than ended up being an EE. The key signs for me were that its legs were green (rather than yellow) and it developed muffs on its face. Yours looks like the legs are yellow. Only time will tell.

But all of their feet are yellow.....

I am pretty sure that 1st chick is a Welsummer. I don't think it is an EE. Many breeds of chicks have that chipmunk look at first.

Hatcheries aren't so good at keeping a color standard- so sometimes it might be a "Welsummer" but oddly colored. See Derperella the Salmon Faverolle.
