New Chicks In Winter

HI~

I have new chicks coming the week of the 22nd! We are very excited for their arrival!

This will be the first time I have had them in the winter and I'm a little nervous about keeping them warm enough. The last time we had babies was in the middle of summer and we kept the box in our garage. I'm worried about it being too cold for them even with the heat lamp.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

We had a small hatch in late november. They did fine in our small coop with a heat lamp on them. How many did you order? Only 5 of our eggs hatched so it was small and I used a baby fence to keep them near the lamp for the first 2 weeks.

We have 5 coming......2 of which will be bantams
