I have some new chicks arriving on July 9th. I created an area for them indoors with a brooder as I have read on here.
My question is by the time they reach 8 weeks it will be in the 30s here, will that be too cold for them to move to the outdoor coop?
I really do not want to have a heat source in the coop for fire reasons and lack of power out there as well...
I was hoping to get some ducklings in Sept and I want to be sure that these chicks will be safely out of the indoor area by then.
Thank you for any advice/tips!

As long as you wean them before moving them out then they will be fine. I brood mine in the coop and allow them access to the run at 3 weeks old. By the time they're 4-5 weeks they were outside without heat in 40° weather.
