I had some chickens years ago but my dog got out while I was at work and killed all of them.
I have decided to get back into it again so I have been reading a lot in here the last week or so. I have my coop behind my barn and to be honest I have not touched it since they were killed and it's kinda in bad shap. Today I cleaned all the straw out of it, still need to fix the insulation that looks like the birds been in though. My question is would it be ok to still use this coop after I get it cleaned out ? I made a atomatic feeder that I might take down and make another. The nest boxes still have straw but I'm gonna pull that out and put more in.

I might put some new plywood on the floors since they feel weak, maybe the half walls to that I built might come down since I no longer have the pig that stayed with them.

As far as how long it's been sitting, not real sure, maybe 3-4 years.

Any thoughts ?

Sounds like with some work and cleaning it would be fine... but disinfect it good if you can! Use something like Ken'L-Lan

Then make sure it air dries for a few days before letting new birds in.

Good luck!
