Just got a few Americanos, a few that lay easter colored eggs and a bantam-- all seem fine except the bantam. She's not really moving much, digs her head into the bedding a bit. Im just concerned as im new to the chickie world.. is this normal? The others seem fine- a light chirping, movement, dont huddle together but arnt at the very edges either so I dont feel like its a heat/cold issue ...

Also while I have you experts here.. if I kept my living room at 80.. is it totally necessary to keep the heat lamp on all night? (Strictly a curious question. . )

I dont know how old your chicks are, but they say 95-90 degrees for the first week or two. Has the polish eaten or drank?

The polish drinks when I bring her over , she hasnt ate from me but she was at the food dish when I woke up- laying by it really. So im not quite sure if shes eaten :/

Something I noticed right off with my polish is that being so very small they needed the food crushed up even though it was crumbles.
Put some food in a freezer bag and roll the rolling pin on it until it is fine crumbles. It should help.
You can also feed mash. Mix warm water with the crumbles and feed the little one by herself to make sure she is eating. You will need to keep her on the fine feed or mash for 2 weeks or so.

You are welcome. One other thing you could try.... The feed store near me sells feed for the very small as "chick starter granules" I used it after 3 days of the messy mash and mine ate it up. It will not harm the other chicks to eat it or the mash as well.

We have the starter feed, the mash is helping and seems to be better. Which makes me more at ease ha! Walking around much more
