New chicks....so many questions

It is coming VERY slowly! Which is a huge bummer considering the "chicks" are now able to get in and out of the bathtub and they are pooping EVERYWHERE!!!

The run has not been started yet- so we have not really made a decision about the bottom. I did speak with another member who did add a hardware cloth bottom covered by sand and pea stones...I am really afraid of predators and might lean somewhat towards adding some type of bottom. I wish digging wasnt such a huge pain since regardless some of the wire/bottom has to be buried but...at this point I just need to get something up and running and get the girls out of the bathroom!

Ya got friends? It sounds like it's time to have a chicken coop building party to me. Invite everyone over and give them a shovel. After it's done serve 'em beer if they're drinkers and feed 'em something good like pizza or grilled burgers. Seriously, if you've ever helped lug a couch on someones moving day it's time to call in the favors!
