Brought home 3 baby chicks to go along with my new poultry obsession Currently have 2 Narragansett turkeys.
Any who... the chicks are Rhode Island Red, Delaware, and Buff Orpington.
Any personal experience you can share with these types of chickens? Love to hear and learn about them.
Thanks in advance!

There are multiple threads on all three of these breeds at BYC. it looks like a good combination , they should get along well together. but I would not raise them with the turkeys. turkeys and chickens don't usually get along together because of blackhead disease.
Best ,

Yes, absolutely I will definitely remember to keep them separate.
I know a lot of people on here keep them together and have no problem. But I'm too nervous to try.
Not sure if blackhead is prevalent where I live? Eastern Washington state.
Thanks for the info on the chickies.. I was hoping I picked 3 docile breeds.

I would keep them together for a while in the brooder. Turkey poults are really dumb in my experience. It helps to use the chicks to teach the poults how to eat and drink.

After that, separation is up to you. Some people have luck with them living together, some do not.
