I have 8 new chicks, 4 buff's, 2 americauna's, a black sex-link and a rhode island red, they are about a month old and everytime I go to change water/food/bedding they begin to peck my hands. I was wondering if this is a sign of something...perhaps a few roosters? Any suggestions of anything that can be done or if it's just time. Also when should they go in the coop/run?

They're curious. Teach them to eat out of your hand and they'll stay sweet.

I would only let them out on warm days for an hour or so (supervised) until they're fully feathered out.

They see food come from your hand so they are trying to get food. Aren't chickens wonderful?!!
