Many thanks to all who welcomed me into the BYC, your comments are very encouraging. Here in New Zealand, we are heading into spring, and what better time to fill the incubator with pure bred orpington eggs, although i have had 6 eggs given to me that are RIR over brown shaver, which by the way have all hatched out, and are doing very well, the orpingtons are a bit slower but am sure they will make up for lost time.... so far what has hatched out look lovely..... will post pics of them in a day or two....

Now they're a lot bigger and they're only about six weeks old
