i have 8 chicks that are now just over 3 months old,i have definately one rooster as he is trying to crow which is really cute
my 2 questions are 1 do i need to rehome him ie will he be attacked by my big rooster or is it ok to have 2 roosters will he look after his girls and the big rooster look after my other hens
no 2 when will the girls become fertile and start to lay eggs as my big rooster is already trying it on with then
thanks tracy

From my understanding the older rooster should be ok with him since he younger, they will establish a pecking order when he older of who is the top rooster. And the hens should just be add to the harem(flock) of the older rooster. However their personallity will play a role in whether or not that they get along, so you may still have to remhome him your just going to have to see what happens when he matures.

In my flock the younger roosters usually attends to the younger hens unless they don't like him then they will begin to hang by the older rooster, though his hens won't like it and may chase them, I have multiple roosters in my two flocks, it's all natural to have all sexes and ages. If the big rooster is trying to mate them than they must be close to laying.
