Hi all,
I grew up feeding my grandmother's chickens raising my own calves, but I've been away from the farm for a long time. I live in a large city, on a fairly small lot, but the back yard is a decent size (and securely fenced). My Guatemalan neighbors (who have been giving us fresh eggs) are moving, and giving us their 4 chickens. I've been frantically building coop and run, and think we're ready for them. I don't have any questions yet, but I've been avidly devouring articles and forum posts.

Thanks!

A lot of people start flocks that way, and soon discover they really LOVE chickens. After that, there is no stopping them. We call that chicken addiction - it's a good thing! Pretty soon they decide they need different colors, different breeds. We are all enablers here so don't expect us to ever say you have too many.

We come to BYC! Hope you have a blast with your new adventure. And, if you have any questions or concerns don't hesitate to ask. Everyone here is happy to help and there's a wealth of information
