I practiced my chicken math again today! I went to get another feeder at the feed store and came home with 5 Salmon Faverolles and 4 Cochins, a bag of chick starter and of course my feeder. I figured mu hubby would kill me but I just had to agree to not get anymore chicks. Then I sold four 3 1/2 month old pullets(2 EE's and 2 GLW) to a lady so I now feel much better. LOL!!! Anyway, I finally decided which breeds I want to keep and the Faverolles, Cochins, and a couple of Dark Cornish hens will make up nearly all of my chickens.
Enough of that!
I tried to pick Cochins that were not like the ones he had ordered (he ordered some that were mixed). They came from Ideal.
Three have some blue on them. I have arranged the pictures so that the lightest one is first and the higher the number, the darker the chick. The third one is a darker blue with a blck cap on it's head. The fourth is mostly black. I wasn't going to get the 4th one at first because I thought it might be one of the barred rocks he ordered. But then I was checking out it's little wing feathers and there was no sign of barring and the outermost ones were white.
Can anyone identify their probable colors????
Thanks a million!!!
