Hi all, I ordered three “assorted” Cochin chicks from a hatchery for my broody hen. One is different coloring than the other two, which I fully expected, but she already has a red comb and tiny red lines that resemble wattles at 4 weeks. The feathering on her legs is quite a bit more dramatic than the other two as well. I’ve never raised Cochins so I’m curious if this is something some people have seen in pullets or if I definitely have a cockerel. If she is a he, I’d like to keep him but worry about noise. I’ve read that they are a quieter breed and wonder if that is true from anyone with experience. Thanks!

Can you get a closer picture of the face? It looks like it could be a cockerel but not sure. I had bantam Cochins not standards but mine was very sweet and not too loud.
