hello everyone my name is valair, I live in Valencia Spain. I am so new to keeping chickens....one week only....I know less than nothing but learning fast.
I bought two chickens, Sarah and Clara....I shall post pics of the coop soon.
At the moment I'm getting to know my chickens, they are adorable...already they know me. But I'm confused about feeding, if I should worm....am I giving them too many treats....they are about 4 to 5 months old....no eggs yet.
I'm a English lady and lived in Spain many years, after losing my dogs last year to old age....I couldn't face having another just yet...but all my life I have wanted chickens? I already have the bug! Go at my eye on two new ones...breeds I'm learning about. Local feed suppliers are very helpful.

Hi Valair and welcome to BYC and congrats on your new flock. Treats should constitute no more than 10% of daily food intake. I'd personally worm them now, before they begin to lay.

Yes I was thinking of going to supplier this morning for worming treatment. I only read about it this morning because I can feel my girls breast bone.....I thought they might be losing weight. They eat well and look fine as far as I can see....thanks again much appreciated.
