New coop and run

Yeah, its worked ok. I have 2 mini roosters and 15 hens. But one hen is slowly turning out to be a rooster and if I will only have 14 if he does. I'm accounting for some natural losses in the near future too. We have an active fox in the neighborhood and mine free roam.

That's a nice coop! But it seems kind of crowded. Also, with roosts right on top of each other, you might have some dirty chickens below if you know what I mean. Good luck!

It looks a little crowded. You have to be careful about multiple heights for the roosts because if not spaced out properly they will *pardon me* poop on each other!

Where did you purchase the nest boxes...those are exactly what I am looking for . Nice coop...I'm in the planning/collecting supplies stage right now..but when the new year get here I plan to get to the building part lol

Looking like Austrianalps chicken math has failed them..thats working to less than one square foot per bird if the pallet is 48x48...most pallets are 40x48 in the US anyway. I'm going to go out on a limb and predict cranky chickens in their future

I don't ever leave them locked up and the run is 10x10. They only go in to roost and sleep. My math has worked for my personal case because they have yet to have a real issue between each other. I have no problem culling a bully. I didn't have to yet though. Which my vegetarian soft hearted husband is extremely happy about. Haha
