We have the new coop and fenced in the chickens area. Still need to secure the flooring and put up roost bars and the nesting boxes. Almost done.. . For now.

Everything looks BEAUTIFUL,,, But I think you need more ventilation.

WISHING YOU BEST,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, :highfive:
The windows opens. We are going to build a screen that goes over the windows so nothing gets in. Plus we are going to expand the ventilation in the upper areas. It's a work in progress. With it being nice out we can open the windows a little so they get plenty of fresh air at night.

I see the window. ,, and it is good ventilation for summer.
What is important, is year round ventilation that is above the roost area, so no drafts on chickens. Ammonia is a byproduct of chicken droppings. That gets removed with natural airflow with sufficient ventilation.
We are only suggesting things for best chicken keeping practice. You will know what works for you best, as things happen. :thumbsup
Good husbandry keeps chicken gumdrops to a minimum.

I'm ok with that. Even in the winter the birds spend more time outside than they do in the coop.
But they'll be locked up at night, yes? Improper ventilation can lead to frostbite and respiratory issues, and being outside during the daytime won't change that.
Edit: unless you meant the flooring? In which case, I'm with you!
