New coop build for new chicks

3killerBs I live in upper central MN. Yes it will be a stout coop. Debating whether to heat it. I will get it insulated by Oct. My chicks that i picked out ( black Austrorp, light Brahma, and buff Orpingtons) were hatched Aug 1st so they should be fully feathered before it gets cold and are reported to be cold hardy.

I know hot climates better than cold, but here is an article on cold-climate chicken keeping for you: https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/cold-weather-poultry-housing-and-care.72010/

@aart and @DobieLover live in similar climates and can advise you better than I can.

If you put your general location into your profile people can always see it and give better-targeted advice.
