Good point, will do that tomorrow morning!!!Looking good so far!
You may wish to use some sort of a tie down! Looks like it might be top heavy in a high wind? JMHO
I think if you put up lattice the coon/critter would be able to climb it and be bite height to the quail... though he could only grab through the side of the cage not the bottom.I think i may add lattice around the bottom portion, today went out to find four dead quail with no legs!!!
I put up a trail cam and have not seen any activity at all! Not even a cat, i went with the lattice and a board along the top so even if a coon climbs the lattice and tries to reach through to the quails feet he wont be able to reach, hopefully this will help!! I have a bit of trimming etc then i plan to do a little covered area off the side with a roof that is hinged for egg removal, 90% of the time that's where the eggs were in the old pen. I also have the watering system to do.I think if you put up lattice the coon/critter would be able to climb it and be bite height to the quail... though he could only grab through the side of the cage not the bottom.
I would put a trail camera up and see what you're up against....
might need an electric fence wire..
What is your floor made of? 1/2" hardware cloth?
Right now it looks like a coon could sit on the horizontal brace between the end legs and grab their feet...
the floor is 1/2" hardware cloth, forgot to mention that...I think if you put up lattice the coon/critter would be able to climb it and be bite height to the quail... though he could only grab through the side of the cage not the bottom.
