new coop flooring options question

its through a shed company. the floor is plywood or whatever sheds come with. we custom ordered but like this one with added ventilation. probably going to need to flip that roost and move it higher.

Super nice! We bought our coop too. It’s an EZ coop. They painted the floor so it was sealed. That’s why i asked what you got. We just line with hay and swap out every couple of weeks. No poop trays. We tried that. And for use it was more work to clean. Eventually you’ll find what works for you!

well this is the 2nd coop. the first was a tractor style prefab i put together intending to use for 3 chickens. ordered 10 chicks figuring i would lose some as a newbie. so far all are thriving and my husband doesn't want to give any away... i figure i can use the prefab for a hospital/time out and letting a few of them out in the grass sometimes when i am out there

We did the same! Said 4 chicken max! Bought a small coop. Then 4 more chicks came. We bought the bigger one. Left the small inside the run for “newbie” we have 4 more in there now! just getting ready to merge the flock! We are up to 12!
