New coop for lod hens

I moved my 12 hens and 1 roo into a new coop.about 3 weeks ago. They all go into the new coop. Most are laying in the nest boxes but they are not roosting on the roost at night but on the ground what do I do?

Just after sunset pick them up and put them there. You might have to repeat the process for four or five nights but they will eventually get up on their own.

Maybe the roost is to high?? Just a thought

no I don't think so for the nest is as high as the roost and there is a ramp for them. I just don't understand it.

Just curious - what's wrong with leaving them on the floor? Not trying to be a smarty, just wondering if there was a reason that would affect their health and well-being.
