Nice sized coop and run!
Looks like you might live somewhere cold.
Insulation can be good, but you may need more ventilation.
Are the soffits blocked?

Welcome to BYC! @Justin17
Where in this world are you located?
Climate, and time of year, is almost always a factor.

It's easy to do, and then it's always there!

Thanks! I updated my profile. It has two gable vents and a ridge line vent that runs the entire length of the peak of the roof. It has 3 windows that I can open or crack in the winter. I live 30 min north of Minneapolis.

And yes, no vents in soffits.

Too bad, they're the best in harsh winter climes.
Well, I’m glad they work for you. I’m not sold. When understanding the vapor density of ammonia and positive pressure ventilation, I prefer ridge line vents at the peak, especially in winter. 20 chickens in sub -30 degrees last winter, it worked perfectly.

Where the positive pressure coming from?
Ridge vents work great until they are covered in snow.

Yes, snow def doesn’t work. Coop is covered by a tarp to give shade in summer and keeps snow off roof in winter.

Most days it depends on wind direction. The direction it’s coming from I keep that window wide open and the others 90% closed. Times I need pressure I have a fan mounted external of a window and I turn it on and it blows into the coop, similar to commercial set ups, just on a smaller scale. Blows the humidity and ammonia up and out the ridge vent.
