New Coop....Updated pictures added today 4/19/2011

I would paint the trim white if the window is white. It's looking good, I hope your window doesn't get broken either.

Do you have a picture of your Bird Pavillion? Im very intrigued.. I have wanted to get a set up for birds and feeders but am clueless as to what to do.

I'm just looking at that 3 1/2 ft door and thinking, 'oh my aching back'
Any reason it is on the low side instead of the taller side of the coop?
love the stain and roof

That's a good question. It was easier to put it there. Because the back is not one big piece. There would already be a seam there. I should only need to go in the coop to clean. The front will be the only part in the run. So I don't have to go in the run to get it. I hope that makes sense. lol

Here is a picture of our Bird Pavilion. My husband made it for me. He is awesome! I show him a picture of what I want and he makes it. Also there is a picture of a bird house he done for me. Its made out of old license plates. (my dad owns a car lot so I have a endless supply of old tags) The Pavilion has 6 hooks. But I have found that I can hang my cake feeders from old coat hangers on the corners. The blue feeder on the left side. Is one he made. Its to hang orange halves on. So if you have orange oracle birds in your area. They would love that. I didn't have any birds that would eat from it. So I took it down. Then the dog chewed it up. oops! I have also learned how to make my own cake feeders and freeze them. Then when I'm to lazy to make them. You can get them at Tractor supply and Lowe's for .99 cents. Hope this helps. If you have any questions. Ask away. Happy to help!!

Here's some work we got done last night. I've got the inside painted white. Got all the stain on. My husband put a Vent in. Got to get the wire put over the vent on the inside. He got the run door done and framed up. Still need to do some more trim work. Got to get the stilts and the run done. So happy we are almost done.

I love your coop, can't wait to see it finished! I'm hoping we can convert our former "farrowing" house into an area for my son's ducks and then chickens.
And, I love the bird pavillion (wish I could have one, but I'd just be feeding our cats)

THANKS!! If you do convert it. Post pictures!! I love looking at everyone's coops. I do wish I would have built a ground feeder for the birds, squirrels and chipmunk. I wanted to place it next to the fence in the back yard. Which is close to the woods. Because our dogs chase the squirrels and well my dog got the chipmunk. I didn't care that he would chase the squirrels off my feeders. But came home after work one day and there set my Chihuahua Nibbler as proud as he could be. With a dead chipmunk. I was so upset. That chipmunk would go from my back yard. Around the house. Down the driveway and across the road to my neighbors feeders. My neighbor and I had watched him/her do it day after day. I had hoped another one would show up. But its been over a year now and I've not seen another one.
