I love new coops!

That's awesome, I am going to build one too, but this time I am going to do it with out any rush

Lots of luck. It seems like I always plan ahead but the actual coop doesn't get started as I plan. I should have the new coop built by the end of the weekend.

We got the electric in the barn and water to it. We made good progress on the coop today we got three walls mostly up. Still need to put windows, door and complete the vents. Tomorrow we will be putting the roof on. Here are the pics of the progress we made today.

Looking great so far! I LOVE the idea of a poop pit, but with our winters here, that's out...

Here are the progress pics of the new coop for today. I still have some priming and painting to do. I'm going to concentrate now on the inside of the coop. I can work on the outside after we move the birds in. We should be moving the birds in next week.

We had to take a couple of days off when Tropical storm Ida and a front went through, but we're back on track. Here are some updated pics of our progress. Tomorrow I'll start painting the trim. Today was the nest boxes. Also tomorrow we will build the gate for the run. The fencing is up.
