New Coop

Well, it's official. He'll be finished building the coop for me by next week, and our friend is holding some Buff Orpingtons for us. We're about to have our first chickens! Can't wait to add more pictures soon as he finishes the work.

The learning center has been just wonderful, and thank you everybody!

I've had 3 little ladies since Saturday, and all is well! Here are some more photos. The coop is not 100% finished but they have all they need for now, and he's going to finish the
nesting boxes soon. At about 3 1/2 months old they're fine on the roosting bars for now. With a little cosmetic work (painting the outside - also to protect the wood), and adding some dirt around the rest of it so that I can plant a chicken-safe edible garden (I also love herb gardening!), it will be totally done pretty soon.
