New coop ?

We are putting together our second coop
and our little flock is 3 hens a roo,
is there anything to switching them over I should know about?

we are not at all handy so this has been difficult but finally got our 2nd pre-fabhouse
but was curious how well they would acclimate to the new coop?

Are they free ranging , or do they have a run? If they're free ranging, it would be a good idea to lock them up in the coop for at least a few days so that they learn that the new coop is their new home. If they are confined to a run, you can probably get away with just putting them in. When it starts getting dark they will probably freak out a little bit, as they are going to want to be in their old digs, but eventually they will figure it out. That's all I got for ya!

yes they free range but we still have their run set up with it open for them to come and go as they please, we took it gradual with the run having it covered and then uncovering and then opening the door etc. to now they come and go as they please inside our fenced backyard.

We moved it in to place and slowly they seem to be checking it out!
