How much feed do you offer your birds when you keep them in the pasture?I would not raise meatbirds if it wasn’t in a tractor. Much prefer a walk in A-frame one. Great view when moving it so your not running anyone over.

50 Broilers arriving Thursday. Can’t wait never had this many.
They get feed 24/7. They do not get artificial light so they obviously don’t eat at night. How much feed do you offer your birds when you keep them in the pasture?
You have photos?Pasture augments the feed. Really doesn't save you anything. When I say pasture, I mean the backyard. My challenge is I have a small back yard and run out of new space. The meat chickens are leaving a despoiled landscape behind them. I know it will come back green and fresh in a month, but for now, despoiled. I separated my 50 into 2 25 square foot meat tractors. A little better. Moving them almost twice a day and getting better. We are at 4 weeks old now.
Lumnah Acres has a small, light & cheaper option on the chicken tractor. I'm using it and a similar one built with 2x4's that is HEAVY. Can you tell which one I like better? The heavy one isn't as much movable as it is a work out.
Photos of tractor or sheets of poop and trampled grass left behind the tractors? We are getting rain now. This spreads the goodness of the poop sheets around and the grass isn't burned. When the ground was dry, the grass turned brown and looked bad.You have photos?

My point is management of your resources. I know the grass will be back green with
Tractor
I like it.Google lumnah acres for details. Made out of 1x6 fence pickets. Flimsy yet light.
