New Cornish Cross Chicks Arrived have question

Pasture augments the feed. Really doesn't save you anything. When I say pasture, I mean the backyard. My challenge is I have a small back yard and run out of new space. The meat chickens are leaving a despoiled landscape behind them. I know it will come back green and fresh in a month, but for now, despoiled. I separated my 50 into 2 25 square foot meat tractors. A little better. Moving them almost twice a day and getting better. We are at 4 weeks old now.

Lumnah Acres has a small, light & cheaper option on the chicken tractor. I'm using it and a similar one built with 2x4's that is HEAVY. Can you tell which one I like better? The heavy one isn't as much movable as it is a work out.

Photos of tractor or sheets of poop and trampled grass left behind the tractors? We are getting rain now. This spreads the goodness of the poop sheets around and the grass isn't burned. When the ground was dry, the grass turned brown and looked bad.

My point is management of your resources. I know the grass will be back green with a vengeance with time and rain. Moving the tractor is a judgement and a tool to manage.

Google lumnah acres for details. Made out of 1x6 fence pickets. Flimsy yet light.
