New cornish x, What to feed?

I just got 25 cornish x from mcmurray on thursday. They are doing great, but got a question. I never thought about them needing different food. I put them on starter crumble. Is this enough protien? Should I worry about the meds in it since they do not have a long life cycle? Thanks. P.S. I know I should have researched better, but it seems that necessity is the best motivator!

the starter i feed is 24% protein and UN-medicated. i never feed medicated, never have.

The problem with that is that I cannot get unmedicated starter in my area. So I was hoping that the birds could eat medicated starter for one bag then move on to a finishing feed.

do you have access to unmedicated game bird starter?

I start off with a "weeks" worth of unmediated starter feed, then I switch over to broiler feed from the mill.

I started mine off on medicated when they arrived, then switched em after a week. They're 8 weeks old on Tuesday!

I didn't lose any chicks, but after they were older I accidentally ran out of water and lost 3, then couple days ago had a heavy rain and I lost a weak one from when they ran out of water. So, to answer your question medicated shouldn't be fed for a long period of time.
