new cows!

i just got five calves last month and i love them! sight problem, though, one of my steers seems to believe that he's a bull. we think that it's because he was castrated late. is that possible? he's a gorgeous steer, though, and i'm counting on him to win grand champion for me

Cattle smell so good. Seriously. I guess in a previous life I was a milk maid or something. Enjoy them. He's a handsome one.

What is he doing to make you think he thinks he is a bull?

They will try and mount others whether they are castrated or not. We castrate ours at 1 or 2 days old, but they still mount each other.

Sometimes mounting is just a way of playing for them. I had 8 steer calves and they would mount each other when they were playing on pasture.
He is a good looking calf.

he just has a really snotty (literally sprays snot at my face) attitude and shakes his head like he thinks that he has horns. idk but i love him
